You can simultaneously view data channels in Real-time while capturing the streaming data to a file. This is useful for recording quasi-static tests, such as load/deflection testing where the user needs to monitor the load level during the test.
In Real-time, check the Log Realtime Data box.
The data is written to a .csv file in the folder:
The filename begins with RTData and the SLICE Base serial number is appended to the filename. The filename can be changed in the Data Log Name field. Note the actual installation folder name may be slightly different.
The .csv file contains the sample number and one column each for the ADC, millivolt and engineering units for each channel. The data is a capture of the real-time stream and is not filtered.
Since the streaming speed is dependent on several factors, it is not possible to show an accurate time step. The requested sample rate (e.g. 200 in the above screen capture) is an approximation and can be adjusted here so as to provide a smooth display on the user's computer.
To view the .csv file in Excel, you may need to click off the Realtime Tab, as the file will be locked.
