The TSR (PRO, PRO-HB, and DXP) sensor offset is adjusted within TSR Control version 1.02.xxxx and greater. If you are a registered user, software is here:
https://support.dtsweb.com/hc/en-us/sections/200320203-TSR-Control
TSR offset can be performed at any time and is recommended before any series of testing is performed . The offset is best performed when the real-time view (after 20 seconds of stabilization) exceeds ~0.25% of the sensors full scale as follows:
- >0.12g for 50g range
- >0.50g for 250g range
- >1.25g for 500g range
- >15.0g for 6000g range
General Notes
- The TSR PRO and PRO-HB accelerometers are sensitive to orientation (DC response), ensure the TSR is offset in the planned installation orientation
- The TSR DXP models use a piezo-electric accelerometer. Allow the TSR DXP accelerometers to stabilize for at least 20 seconds before verifying the offset in real-time
- All sensors exhibit offset differences with changes in temperature
- Offset is expected to be <0.1% of sensor full scale after performing the procedure below
To adjust the sensor offset
- Start TSR Control 2
- With the TSR connected and recognized, select SETTINGS
- When the SETTINGS menu opens, select Offset and GO
- Note: If the Offset menu is not available then set the following value in the "TSRControl2.XML" file by opening in Notepad and ensure the software is closed before editing the XML
- <AllowOffsetCorrection>true</AllowOffsetCorrection>
- The software will power the sensors and allow them to stabilize. After several seconds
- The OFFSET and REMAINING fields will be populated
- The remaining offset is expected to be less than 0.1% of the sensors full scale
